Cleveland’s MC2 STEM High School to Be Nationally Recognized on Digital Learning Day

School Selected for Excellence and Innovation in Secondary Schools

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Digital Learning Day, the Alliance for Excellent Education will recognize Cleveland, Ohio’s MC2 STEM High School as one of three recipients of the Excellence and Innovation in Secondary Schools award and feature the school during the organization’s Digital Learning Day Live! event at 2 p.m. (ET). STEM Connection: From Classroom to Workplace

At this STEM high school, integrated project-based learning and real-world internship experiences build the crucial link between academic achievement and future economic success. MC2 (Metropolitan Cleveland Consortium) STEM High School is a year-round public school in Cleveland, Ohio. The school was created through a public-private partnership among a number of organizations (PDF), with the intention of providing students with an integrated curriculum that is informed by real-world experiences. Since MC2 STEM opened in 2008, 95 percent of their students have graduated and 84 percent of their graduates have matriculated to college. (read more)
