Cell Phone Reminder

Cell phones can be a powerful tool for students, and most of our kids have them for emergencies. Please pay attention to the CMSD cell phone policy if you are sending your child to school with a phone. Cleveland Metropolitan School District’s Acceptable Use Policy for cell phones and other electronic devices. According to the policy, cell phones and other electronic devices are only to be used during the instructional day with permission from and under the supervision of a teacher or administrator for educational purposes and/or in the event of an emergency. There is no acceptable use in hallways, restrooms, cafeteria, etc.  except under the conditions outlined above. Cell phones are required to be powered completely off (not on silent or vibrate) and stored in a purse, book bag or locker with a lock. Students sending or receiving phone calls, emails, texts, and/or messages during the instructional day is not allowable. Students bringing a cell phone or electronic device to school do so at their own risk. CMSD is not responsible for lost or stolen cell phones. Violations of the CMSD Acceptable Use policy will result in your child’s phone being confiscated. Confiscated cell phones and/or electronic devices will need to be picked up by a parent/guardian or an adult representative. If you need to contact your child before the end of the school day, please call the Main Office. Please remember: Students are responsible for their own cell phones. If a phone is lost or stolen, the school is not responsible.

Parent Resources from CMSD

The Office of Family and Community Engagement (FACE) is responsible for the development of programs and strategies to support the meaningful district-wide engagement of families and community stakeholders in The Cleveland Plan. At the core of our work is expanding the capacity of schools to partner with families and community-based organizations in support of student achievement and school improvement. YOU are now a YEARBOOK PHOTOGRAPHER

ReplayIt allows students, staff and families to upload, view and share images throughout the year. Using ReplayIt, your school community can share their favorite photos with you and view the photos your staff and other community members are sharing. It is a great way for you to get more content for your yearbook, while at the same time making it easy for ALL SITES to be represented. It’s simple, go to the app store, download the “Replay It” app and search for our school “MC2 Stem HS.” Select the current year and start uploading photos of student life and events!
